Archetype Creative was first established as a partnership between Anthony Corke and Peter 'Taff' Ratcliffe in 1992, trading from premises in Halifax Street, Nelson. After many transformations, Archetype Creative is now run as a family business from the home address of Anthony Corke and Christine Stewart-Corke. The wealth of experience gained working with many large New Zealand organisations, as well as a great many smaller businesses, is now being applied to helping new and existing businesses gain a competitive edge in the Nelson and Tasman districts. We are experienced in advertising and marketing Nelson Bays businesses. We can set-up your business to gain sales in the local, national and international markets. We also offer a range of promotional services including graphic design, printing, photography and copy writing.
Anthony Corke- brief profile Born and raised in North Staffordshire, England, I studied photography, graphic design, printmaking, and fine art subjects for three years at the Leek School of Art. I freelanced as an advertising and illustrative photographer until 1985, then I retrained in offset lithography print production, and taught myself computer aided graphic production with Apple Computers. I worked at the cutting edge of this emerging industry, which eventually lead to my emigration to New Zealand in 1990. I co-founded Archetype Creative Services in Nelson in 1992, which serviced the advertising needs of local business. In 1997 I became a founding director of Nelson based Digital Promotions Limited, working at the cutting edge of the emerging web site and internet marketing industry. In 2003 I took time out of the advertising industry to develop another business venture. I jointly founded SolarPeak New Zealand Limited, again pursuing an emerging industry in Evacuated Tube Solar water Heating. As Director and Marketing Manager, I developed and maintained the SolarPeak brand, and developed a nationwide dealership of 35 dealers and distributors. I sold my shareholding in this business in 2009. As well as my photography, copy writing, design and print production skills, I have developed a broad range of marketing skills, including product and service promotion, sourcing and importation of products from European and Asian suppliers, setting up and servicing distribution networks, and nationwide product distribution. I am currently building a New Zealand wide distribution of European made night vision and optical equipment from Pulsar-NV and Yukon Advanced Optics, as well as high-end night vision and thermal imaging equipment from other manufacturers for recreation, marine safety, security, hunting, search and rescue, and law enforcement.
